Army postal service
Please pay attention to the following instructions when using a military postal address:When ordering to a casern, the address has to be entered as following:
- The unit or school (including company and platoon; for officer school or NCO school the class) has to be entered in the field "Company"
- The abbreviation of the rank is written in front of the given name
- Enter "Kaserne" instead of the street
- Enter the zip code of the casern
Example:
Inf RS 11-1, Kp 1
Sdt John Doe
Kaserne
9000 St. Gallen Kaserne
When ordering to a military ZIP code (e.g. deployment, repetition course) the address has to be entered as following:
- The field "company" is left empty
- The abbreviation of the rank is written in front of the given name
- The name of the unit is written instead of the street
- Enter the military ZIP code

- Shipments to military postal adresses are regulated by the "Postbefehl / Ordre postal" article 2.1 which indicates that all parcels of which the sender or receiver intends a purchase are taxable. Because of this reason, the post doesn't accept tax free parcels from us and charges the full cost. Therefore we have to handle field post shipments same as all other parcels.
